Steak is my vice. I try and cut down the amount of meat I eat during the week but I can’t not have my steak every once in a while.
4 sirloin steaks
3 large Maris Piper Potatoes
I don’t like to add too much seasoning to my steak because you lose the taste of the meat.
I rub Aromat seasoning, olive oil and black pepper to my steaks before frying. Aromat is a substitute for salt. You will not need anymore salt after using it.
Chop the potatoes thick and boil for 10-15 minutes. The time depends on how thick you want them to be. Make sure you don’t let them get too soft!
Here’s how you want them to look:
Season with sea salt and olive oil then bake until golden. I’d pre-set my oven to 190 degrees.
This method makes chips that are crispy on outside and soft in the middle.
Chimichurri Inspired Salad Dressing
2 spring onions
1/4 of a red onion
2 cloves of garlic
Handful of spinach
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons of Olive oil
1 table spoon of white wine vinegar
Lemon juice (it all depends on how citrusy you want your dressing to be)
I’m trying to stay away from mayonnaise and store bought salad dressings. This recipe gives that sharpness from the white wine vinegar and lemon juice.
Method: Blits all the ingredients in a food processor or blender, refrigerate then add to the salad just before serving.
